Sulzer is seeking an Estimator for TFS projects in Mexico with experience in industrial construction, preferably in the petrochemical sector. You will prepare cost estimates, support quotes, and set gross margins while maintaining strong relationships with the outside sales team and customers.

You will review specifications, develop schedules, and assist the bid process. Travel up to 20% may be required to meet customer needs and project timelines.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction science, business, or marketing preferred.
• 2–5 years’ experience in industrial construction; 5+ years in petrochemical field preferred.
• Proficiency with blueprints and project drawings; ability to interpret specs.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare estimates including all costs for TFS projects and set GM for each order.
• Generate professional proposals and coordinate with outside sales and customers.
• Review customer specs/drawings and incorporate into estimates/proposals.
• Develop construction schedules with scope, timing, and manpower loadings.
• Attend bid meetings; clarify bid documents; prioritize proposals to meet deadlines.
• Ensure proper paperwork and coordination with internal/external customers.

Build and maintain relationships with the outside sales force and external customers.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Prepares estimates to include all costs associated with TFS projectsGenerate professional proposalsReview all customer specifications, drawings, and special requirements and incorporate in to estimatesGenerate construction schedules to include the scope of work, timing, task duration, and manpower loadings.Identify tools and equipment required to perform a projectAttend bid meetings and communicate with customers to clarify points in the bid documents.Prioritize estimates/proposals to meet the customers’ deadlines.Ensure proper paperwork is acquired for providing accurate estimates/proposalsSECONDARY FUNCTIONSBuild relationships with both internal and external customersMaintain contact with the outside sales force to discuss inquiries and provide assistance and support as required to serve the customers.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Construction Science, Business, or Marketing is preferred2-5 years’ experience in the industrial construction industry5+ years’ Industrial Field/Construction experience in the petrochemical industry is preferred specifically working with pressure vessels and weldingKnowledge of Mass Transfer Equipment installationExperience with scheduling/planning programs such as P6Ability to multi-task effectively for working on multiple estimates at the same timeExcellent communication skills both written and verbal, as required in dealing effectively with customers and co-workers.Effective interpersonal skills as required to develop successful relationshipsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and sketches related to equipment and hardware requirements and installationProficiency in the use of personal computers including MS Office applicationsTRAVEL: This position may require some business travel by air or car, which may require overnight stays for customer visits.
