A leading automotive retailer in Monterrey seeks a Pricing Analyst to manage pricing optimization and analyze competitive market behavior. Key responsibilities include database management, pricing strategy definition, and vendor negotiations. Candidates should have five to seven years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree, and proficiency in Excel and SQL. The role emphasizes a data-driven approach to enhance pricing efficiency in the retail industry, contributing significantly to strategic decision-making.
Responsible for ensuring both price competitiveness and the best cost available through internal and external data analysis. Extracts and analyzes competitive data to understand market behavior and identify pricing opportunities, proposing retail tests accordingly. Performs price optimization modeling by price zone, considering pricing elasticities, strategies, category roles, and pricing rules such as minimum margin, competitive index, GBB pricing gaps, and product families.
Participates in strategic vendor negotiations and supports optimal product cost decisions, while leading additional projects that drive pricing and cost efficiency. Oversees and develops the Analyst Senior and Trainee team, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools, data knowledge, and strategic understanding to contribute effectively to the company's pricing and cost objectives."
Level of Formal Education : A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
Area of Study : BS in Computer Science, BS in IT Management, BA in Actuarial Science, BS in Economics, BS in Statistics
Years of Experience : Five to seven years.
Type of Experience : Pricing experience, Excel advanced, Pivot Tables, SQL data extractions, English, Information Analysis
Other / Preferred : Retail industry experience is required, able to understand requirements, efficient communication, activity followup (self-organized)
