AutoZone Monterrey is seeking a Real Estate attorney to draft, review and negotiate real estate agreements for new store development. You will manage due diligence, title memos, and power of attorney after approval, ensuring compliance with laws and company policy.

The role requires 5–7 years in Real Estate law, English as a second language, and strong negotiation skills to coordinate landlord negotiations and final closings.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of experience in Real Estate law or related field.
• Experience reviewing and negotiating leases and purchase agreements.
• English as a second language.
• Administrative Law and Budget Administration experience.

Responsabilidades

• Identify risks in Prequal and Preapproval during due diligence.
• Legal analysis of site viability for new locations.
• Manage Title Memos, Due Diligence, and power of attorney after approval.
• Review Real Estate agreements (Leasing, Purchase).
• Support Store Dev in negotiating agreements.
• Manage final negotiations with landlords.
• Oversee closing process of each project.
• Coordinate lease clauses and payment dates.

After Site Approval for a new store, many activities between internal and external stakeholders take place by the Real Estate team. Gathering of legal documentation from LL, continue with initial business negotiations, define terms depending on outcomes of our Due dilligence (DDL and DDT), engage Legal, Design, Pre-construction and Permits. It should be capable to review, draft and negotiate all types of Real Estate agreements. Must be able to understand the needs of the Store Development group in order to draft legal documents that really reflect the terms of each negotiation complying with applicable laws, company's policy and FCPA regulations, actively participating in synergy with the other areas of the Company.

• Identify potential risks in the Prequal and Preapproval process by reviewing all the submitted documentation.
• Legal analysis of site viability for new locations.
• Managing the Title Memos,Legal Due Dilligence, and power of attorney, after the project has been approved.
• Reviewing the Real Estate agreement, such as Leasing, Purchase.
• Support the Store Dev area in the negotiation of the different agreements.
• Manage final negotiation with landlords
• Manage the closing process of each project.
• Coordinate critical events and dates of the lease clauses and payments related to them
• Level of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
