Placements24 is seeking an experienced Specialist in Prefabrication and Erection of Structures to join a fully remote team. You will oversee off-site fabrication processes for steel and concrete elements and coordinate with design, fabrication, and construction partners across Mexico.

The role emphasizes optimization of prefabrication designs, sequencing, and quality control, with the flexibility of remote work while contributing to large-scale national and international projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of structural engineering experience with focus on prefabrication and site assembly.
• Deep knowledge of off-site construction methods for steel and concrete structures.
• Experience with site logistics planning and erection sequencing.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro).
• Strong communication and remote collaboration skills; able to work independently.

About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking leader in innovative construction solutions, is seeking an experienced Especialista en Prefabricación y Montaje de Estructuras to join their fully remote team. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who understands the complexities and efficiencies of off-site construction methods for structural components. As a remote-first role, you will collaborate virtually with design, fabrication, and construction teams to ensure the seamless integration of prefabricated elements into large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge of prefabrication processes, material logistics, assembly sequencing, and quality control for factory-produced structural parts. We are looking for an individual who can contribute to optimizing designs for prefabrication, planning site logistics for assembly, and troubleshooting challenges that may arise during the manufacturing and installation phases. This role offers the unique advantage of working from anywhere within Mexico, contributing to impactful projects while enjoying a high degree of flexibility. The operational hub for this role is conceptually in Torreón, Coahuila, MX , but the position is entirely remote.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering, with a significant focus on prefabrication and site assembly.
• In-depth knowledge of prefabrication techniques for steel and/or concrete structures.
• Experience with site logistics planning and erection sequencing.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
• Familiarity with project management principles and construction methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a remote team.
• Strong understanding of quality control in manufacturing and construction environments.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico and comfortable working remotely.
• Experience with modular construction or off-site fabrication is highly desirable.
