A leading electronics manufacturer in Mexicali seeks an experienced Purchasing Manager. Responsibilities include managing raw materials suppliers, negotiating prices, and optimizing supply chain processes. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of purchasing experience in the manufacturing industry and must be proficient in Excel. Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is preferred. This position requires occasional overseas business trips.
The role is primarily involves strategizing to purchase materials and raw materials necessary for product production, as well as reviewing demand and inventory status.
Responsible for detailed tasks such as purchase planning, negotiating purchases, and identifying and maintaining domestic and foreign trading companies. Corporate purchasing activities are not simple. A comprehensive understanding of the industry is a prerequisite, and furthermore, one must grasp the company's business structure and production strategy.
Only by knowing what is necessary can one efficiently purchase items in accordance with those needs.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Raw materials related tasks: Management of local/resin/steel suppliers, new development and price determination, mass production cost management, exploring new sourcing and optimal SCM.
Local Supplier related: Management of local partners for injection/pressing/cutting parts, development of new parts, determination of new price and management of production costs, discovery of new sourcing options and optimal supply chain management.
Parts Import task: Management of CKD/direct import supplier and management of new/mass production unit prices.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
At least 2 years of purchasing experience in manufacturing industry required, preferably more than 3 years.
Experience in purchasing tasks: particularly in price management & supplier management.
Proficient in basic Office document creation and utilization such as Excel and PPT
Preference for candidates who are proficient in both English and Korean.
No reasons for disqualification for overseas business trips.
