Intuitive is seeking a technically skilled leader to help optimize manufacturing equipment for precision instruments used in minimally invasive robotic surgery. You will evaluate, inspect, maintain, repair, design, analyze and improve a wide range of mechanical and electronic equipment.

You will lead projects, implement service strategies, and manage equipment service data while addressing emergencies and ensuring equipment availability and reliability across the production environment.

Formación

• Experience applying engineering concepts to optimize equipment, procedures, and budgets.
• Ability to analyze equipment performance trends and implement improvements.
• Experience performing installation, repair, and upkeep on mechanical and electronic equipment.
• Ability to design service strategies and methods for equipment.

Job Description

Primary Function of Position

Contribute your leadership and technical skills in the areas of manufacturing process technologies, problem-solving, training, and project management in a growing medical device company. In this key role, you will evaluate, inspect, maintain, repair, design, analyze and improve various types of equipment, including electronic and mechanical equipment for the manufacturing environment of precision instruments for minimally invasive robotic surgery.

Essential Job Duties

• Apply engineering concepts to the optimization of equipment, procedures, and departmental budgets to achieve better maintainability, reliability, and availability of equipment.


• Determine and analyze trends for equipment performance and define and implement improvement.


• Perform installation, repair and upkeep services for a variety of equipment either in the fields of mechanics and electronics.


• Design equipment service strategies, procedures and methods.


• Carry out routine scheduled equipment service and responding to equipment faults.


• Diagnose breakdown problems.


• Fit, design and integrate new equipment/component and make sure equipment is working correctly.


• Seek for better and more suitable technologies for improving production processes.


• Perform qualification for equipment being installed in the facilities.


• Manage Equipment service database for scheduling service and repairs as well as manuals and procedures to be executed for such service and repairs.


• Perform quality inspection on equipment service jobs.


• Control equipment service tools as well as costs.


• Deal with emergency/unscheduled problems and repairs of equipment.
