KEMET de México, part of the YAGEO Group, seeks an Equipment Engineer to evaluate, maintain, and improve manufacturing equipment and automated systems at our Guadalupe, NL facility. The role emphasizes software solutions for equipment control, test procedures, and process automation to minimize downtime.

The candidate will work with cross‑functional teams, develop documentation, and drive continuous improvements across production lines.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required (Software, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical, Computer/Automation & Control, or Industrial Engineer).
• Advanced English required.
• 3+ years in Industrial Maintenance/Instrumentation/Manufacturing Robots and staff management.

Responsabilidades

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and automated systems.
• Develop, test, and implement software solutions for equipment control and process automation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Analyze equipment data to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and equipment specifications.

As a Equipment Engineer you must be able to evaluate, inspect, maintain, design, analyze, and improve various types of equipment, including electronic and mechanical equipment, ensuring their optimal performance. This is a full‑time, on‑site position located at our offices in Guadalupe, NL.

Requirements

• Bachelors’ degree in Sofware, Electronic, Mechatronic, Electrical, Computer, Automation & Control or Industrial Engineer, or related field. 3+ years' experience in Industrial Maintenance, Instrumentation or Manufacturing Robots and Staff Managing.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and automated systems.
• Develop, test, and implement software solutions for equipment control and process automation.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery.

Qualifications and Skills

• Advanced English level.
• PLC Programming: Ladder Logic, Structures Text (ST), Function Block Diagram (FBD).
• HMI/SCADA Development: WinCC, FactoryTalk, Ignition.
• Industrial Communication Protocols: OPC-UA, Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP.
• Programming Languages: Python, C/C++, C#, Java, SQL.
• Scripting: VBA, PowerShell, Bash.
• Database Management: SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle.
• Data Analysis Tools: MATLAB, LabVIEW.
• Version Control: Git, SVN.
• CAD/CAE Software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks (basic knowledge).
• Microsoft Office Suite & Excel VBA for reporting and automation.
