This position reports to
HR Business Partner

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving the environmental performance of your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on the environment. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth environmental knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through excellence in environmental management along the ABB value chain.

The work model for the role is: Onsite.

Global relocation/LTA support will not be considered for this position.

This role is contributing to the ABB Electrification Installation Products plant in Guadalupe.

You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Facilitating environmental risk assessments conducted by line management and ensuring all necessary preventive measures against the identified hazards are implemented.
2. Reporting environmental incidents to management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions.
3. Providing feedback to management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within your own unit and across ABB.
4. Assisting line managers and supervisors in understanding their obligations, liabilities, and requirements for role fulfillment.

Qualifications for the role

1. 3-5 years of experience in an HSE area.
2. Experience in environmental, legal, and environmental certifications (ISO, ZWT).
3. Fluent communication in English.
4. Experience in corporate environments and/or metalworking companies.
5. Valid American visa and passport.
6. Experience in plant openings and/or closings is a plus.
7. Bachelor's degree completed, preferably in Environmental studies.
8. Availability to travel.
