Your future role as an Environment, Health, and Safety Coordinator

You will coordinate all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) functions for our Flavors manufacturing facilities in Cuernavaca, Mexico, ensuring compliance with Givaudan EHS guidelines and applicable regulations. Your role involves implementing strategies to reduce environmental impact and risk, leading cultural change to minimize EHS incidents, and influencing all organizational levels to foster a strong EHS culture, with the goal that Everyone Gets Home Safe Every Day. You will report to the EHS Manager and work on-site at our Cuernavaca facility.

Main responsibilities
  • Provide guidance to improve water and energy usage, reduce CO2 emissions, waste generation, and site accident rates, managing risks such as Process Safety, Fire Safety, Machine Safety, Chemical Safety, Forklift Safety, and Electrical Safety using tools like Risk Portfolio.
  • Influence production areas to prioritize EHS as a key partner and support safety culture programs like Human Organizational Performance and EHS Facilitators to promote safe decision-making on the shop floor.
  • Develop your team through tools like the Individual Development Plan (IDP) and ensure technical EHS training across the plant to raise risk awareness.
  • Implement Givaudan's management systems, including Responsible Care and relevant ISO standards, to ensure legal compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain site emergency response procedures, coordinating with the industrial park's support group to respond effectively to emergencies.
Your profile
  • University degree in EHS, Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's Degree in EHS preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an EHS specialist in the chemicals industry.
  • Knowledge of risk management tools, especially Process Safety, Machine Safety, and Fire Safety.
  • Familiarity with local safety and environmental standards.
  • Proficiency in IT tools.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
