Celestica in Monterrey, part of the Global Automation team, is seeking an entry-level Developing Controls Engineer with a solid technical foundation, strong logical thinking, and high learning agility. The program focuses on developing mechanics, baseline software logic, and abstraction skills to grow toward a Senior Automation Engineer role with global execution capabilities.

In this role you will work across a balanced model: 60% Turn-Key projects with external automation integrators and 40%

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Computer, or Robotics Engineering.
• Entry-level role with 0–2 years in industrial automation or related projects.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish (minimum B2 level).

Responsabilidades

• Conduct shop-floor process audits and data gathering to baseline cycle times and identify bottlenecks.
• Document URS and SOW protocols to validate automation concepts.
• Evaluate vendor technical proposals and benchmark Turn-Key solutions.
• Assist in designing and programming basic control architectures, PLC logic, and HMI layouts.
• Track PO creation, vendor execution, and material arrival for control hardware.
• Support FAT and SAT testing and on-site commissioning.
• Maintain project schedules and status updates using Excel and Smartsheet.
• Participate in weekly global team calls and cross-site engineering syncs.
• Engage in mentorship and continuous development.
