Role Overview:

The main function of a quality technician is to inspect and test processed, machined, fabricated, or assembled parts or products for defects, wear, and deviations from specifications.

Position Purpose:

This role supports test engineers in providing performance and quality assessments of products based on industry standards, supporting lab environments, and assisting in R&D product development. The position is based in Pine Brook, NJ.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain machine workshops/lab environment, including periodic calibrations
• Collaborate with engineers on prototype creation and evaluation
• Perform product teardowns and part inspections
• Conduct product performance and quality testing
• Troubleshoot testing and product issues
• Perform basic data analysis and simple calculations
• Prepare and present technical reports

Required Knowledge, Education, and Experience:

• Associate in Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent
• 5+ years of engineering lab or machine shop experience
• General mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Experience in the Home Appliance industry preferred
• Proficient in MS Office
• Attention to detail and good observation skills
• Experience with machine and test equipment setup, data acquisition, load preparation, and testing standards
• Ability to identify potential problems during tests and setup
• Physical ability to carry heavy loads, bend, stoop, and exposure to various environmental conditions
• Flexibility to adapt to changing assignments based on workload
