Chubb Is seeking a Technology Portfolio Manager to provide strategic support to the senior leader of the department, overseeing special projects from planning to execution and preparing reports and analyzing data that provide insights leading to improved organizational performance. This role partners closely with the portfolio controllers, delivery leads, and provides best-practices guidance, coaching, and mentoring on execution including agile delivery. This role may also have accountability for some hands-on project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, monitor, and support the line of business-level portfolio performance including execution, production availability, workforce, reporting.
  • Ensure and facilitate close alignment of specific governance and execution with North America portfolio standards and expectations.
  • Partner closely with portfolio controller to ensure appropriate alignment of budget, actuals, and forecast with capital project delivery.
  • Engaged and active in portfolio-level delivery detail.
  • Drive agile execution and delivery best practices across the portfolio. Coach, grow, and help facilitate a digital delivery model across the portfolio.
  • Drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure alignment of IT Execution/Structure with Business Priorities and Structure and influence and coach the business on digital delivery models.
  • Identify opportunities across the portfolio for greater transparency, increased throughput, and cost-optimization. Foster and grow a continuous improvement culture.
  • Use data and key performance indicators to enable leader to make informed decisions on enhancements or changes to improve delivery outcomes.
  • Create artifacts for executive reporting that represent operational data and status.
  • Bring visibility, transparency, and consistency to reporting, enabling leader to make decisions based on the data provided.
  • Support the business in alignment and improvement strategies.
  • Successfully interact with and influence the team on successful completion of reporting initiatives.
  • Prepare executive level presentation materials to support strategic decision-making.
  • Lead and drive special projects, design to enhance the workforce, build engagement, and grow the overall organization.
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Experience with agile, as well as hands on program management and delivery.

  • Understanding of technology and the value of technology in delivering solutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, information technology, or a related field.

  • Prior direct experience in administrative management, and business understanding of technology in insurance or financial services industry. Knowledge of Personal Lines insurance a plus.

  • IT project management experience required, with proven success delivering following agile practices.

  • Proven advanced experience with project management tools such as Clarity, Jira, Excel, etc.

  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analysis tools and software.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and to develop strong, positive working relationships across matrixed organization.

  • Proven ability to frame projects, establish required governance, and work cross-functionally to successfully deliver results.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively.

  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to work independently and learn business and technology concepts.

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, prioritization, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
