The Mission

We are seeking an exceptional Engineering Manager to join our growing Cloud Architecture & Engineering practice. The ideal candidate is technically strong, experienced in managing a team of Architects and Engineers, capable of overseeing delivery engagements, and passionate about working with customers, partners, and employees to drive the business forward.

Your Responsibilities

1. Manage a team of 5-8 cloud engineers and architects.
2. Define and communicate the value of technical solutions through structured documentation, value charters, and roadmaps.
3. Take on hands-on technical responsibilities, including technical tasks during sprints.
4. Lead technical discussions with customers and guide solution direction.
5. Handle code reviews and pull request management to ensure code quality.
6. Manage task assignments within sprints and ensure timely delivery.
7. Provide guidance on roadmap planning, best practices, and risk identification.
8. Mentor team members, sharing feedback and supporting growth opportunities.
9. Serve as the point of technical escalation for client engagements.
10. Kick off new projects and ensure alignment between technical delivery and business goals.
11. Support pre-sales activities through proposal development, contract review, and client presentations.
12. Conduct technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates.
13. Perform 1:1s and support the career growth of your direct reports.
14. Navigate customer and team challenges with strong conflict resolution and leadership skills.

Your Qualifications

Core Consulting Qualifications

• Customer Experience: Develop strategies linking business goals to technical solutions and drive measurable value. Collaborate with client executives, lead stakeholder discussions, and shape engagement strategies.
• Communication: Create clear, actionable roadmaps, negotiate timelines and resources, and provide recommendations rooted in technical and business expertise.

Technical Qualifications

• Deep experience in hands-on technical roles with AWS.
• Proven experience managing and mentoring technical teams.
• Curious and committed to continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with migrations, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Pulumi), scripting, containers (Kubernetes, Docker, ECS, Fargate), cloud security, networking, and incident, release, problem, and change management processes.
• Experience working in client-facing and Agile environments.
• Background in consultancy or advisory roles.

This role may require up to 25% travel, depending on business needs.
