The SEAM organization integrates Safety, Environment & Asset Management activities across a broad geographical footprint, supporting Shell's global business & assets.
Technical Asset Operations (TAO), part of SEAM, enables the accelerated delivery of Shell Performance Frameworks to maximize potential in Chemicals and Products (C+P), Integrated Gas/Renewables and Energy Solutions (IGRES), and Upstream. TAO provides high-quality, cost-competitive technical resources supporting Shell sites remotely, integral to asset teams delivering value through end-to-end AMS work processes. TAO teams are located in Chennai, Manila, KL, & Krakow.
What's the role?
- Lead the Engineering Data Management & Transformation efforts, driving Operational Excellence and establishing the ADT Transformation agenda, with strong integration with Data/Digital/Engineering IM Specialists within TAO Delivery Operations.
- Drive the ADT transformational roadmap focusing on Right People, Right Process, and Right Data, employing innovative process, data, and digital solutions using Agile or LeSS methodologies.
- Independently drive transformation initiatives by aligning diverse organizational stakeholders across multiple levels.
- Identify organizational needs, create awareness of opportunities/problems, and develop solutions to realize value.
- Support Technical Operation teams in addressing operational continuity challenges in Projects and Engineering Data Management, restoring base capabilities swiftly, and promoting capability centralization and process standardization.
- Act as SME, providing guidance on standards and best practices.
- Enable business value delivery through innovative EDM solutions aligned with business strategies, KPIs, and information requirements.
- Assist IM Process Assurance in identifying process shortcomings and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with internal and external developers to deliver EDM solutions, benchmarking market standards against in-house or legacy solutions.
- Support Operational Excellence as a business partner.
What do we need from you
- University Degree in engineering with 8+ years of experience in analysis, data analytics, or related fields.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to deliver clear messages and drive change.
- Effective stakeholder management across various organizational levels.
- Framework thinking ability using models like VSM, SIPOC, SCQA, etc.
- Commercial mindset with agility to devise pragmatic solutions.
- Proficiency in data visualization (Power BI or equivalent), data & digital analytics (SQL, Azure ML).
- Experience with Engineering databases and IM applications such as Engineering Data Warehouse, AIM-EDM, ASSAI, Hexagon.
- Experience with ERP or CMMS systems like SAP or Maximo.
- Proven track record in leading organizational change and transformation programs; Agile project management experience is desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of Shell’s standards and practices, including Shell ORP, Project Management Framework, DEP, ISO standards, etc.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical modeling techniques.
