This position focuses on maintaining high standards of safety and environmental compliance, managing chemical waste, and training operational personnel. Join Our Team as an Engineer, Safety & Environment!

Are you passionate about ensuring a safe and sustainable workplace? We are looking for a dedicated Engineer, Safety & Environment to join our team and lead our efforts in maintaining high standards of safety, health, and environmental compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our operations adhere to all relevant safety regulations to protect our employees; implement health protocols to create a secure and healthy work environment, managing activities related to environmental compliance to meet legal obligations.

Responsibilities
  • Chemical waste management control
  • Control of logs of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
  • Printing safety labels for plant chemists
  • EHS System documentation
  • Handling and control of welding waste containers / contaminated needles
  • Updating calendars regarding studies required by STPS
  • Document security risks, photo videos (as applicable)
  • Control of the safety sheets of the plant chemicals.
  • Improvement projects
  • Training of operational personnel
Qualifications
  • Industrial Engineering Degree
  • Experience 1 - 3 Years
  • NOMS-STPS, SEMARNAT, SEDUE, JMAS
  • Knowledge of the identification of risks, hazards, as well as standards
  • Knowledge of the identification of environmental aspects and impacts, as well as identifying the applicable standards
  • Ergonomics Knowledge
  • Problem Solving Methodology
  • Management of Excel, Word, power point
  • Autocad
  • Excellent human relationships
