Henkel AG & Co. KGaA in Mexico is seeking a Packaging Engineer to lead the development, qualification, and commercialization of packaging solutions across new product launches, channels, and markets.

You will collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Innovation, Safety, Quality, and Procurement to meet consumer and business needs, manage validation activities, and align R&D specifications with supplier requirements. You will address packaging risks early and drive supplier engagements.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the development, qualification, and commercialization of packaging solutions across growth initiatives (new products, channels, and markets).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Innovation, Safety, Quality, and Procurement teams to meet consumer and business needs.
• Serve as packaging SME, supporting qualification and approval for new formats, suppliers, and manufacturing locations.
• Manage packaging validation activities, including assembly, submission, and testing to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and drive systems to align R&D specs with supplier quality requirements and deliverables.
• Interface with suppliers to ensure packaging components meet design and performance specs.
• Partner with manufacturing site operations and R&D teams to plan and implement new packaging solutions.
• Proactively identify risks related to packaging transfers and address them early or escape when necessary.

About this Position

We are seeking a talented Packaging Engineer to lead the development, qualification, and commercialization of packaging solutions across a variety of initiatives, including new product launches, market expansion, sustainability, and e-commerce. This role is critical in delivering high-quality packaging that meets consumer expectations while ensuring operational efficiency and scalability.

What you´ll do

• Lead the development, qualification, and commercialization of packaging solutions across growth initiatives (new products, channels, and markets), quality improvements, material sourcing, sustainability, and e-commerce.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Innovation, Safety, Quality, and Procurement teams to identify opportunities that meet consumer and business needs.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in packaging, supporting qualification and approval processes for new packaging formats, suppliers, and manufacturing locations.
• Manage packaging validation activities, including assembly, submission, and testing to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
• Develop and drive systems and processes to align R&D specifications with supplier quality requirements and deliverables.
• Interface with suppliers to ensure packaging components meet design and performance specifications.
• Partner with manufacturing site operations and R&D teams to plan and implement new packaging solutions effectively.
• Proactively identify potential risks related to packaging transfers and address them early or escape when necessary.
