Vestas in Matamoros, Mexico is seeking a Process Engineer to develop and execute continuous improvement plans in assigned production areas. You will support manufacturing teams in problem solving, optimize process flows, and implement robust manufacturing solutions.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's in Industrial/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, at least 3 years in a manufacturing setting, advanced English, and experience with PFMEAs, Control Plans, and lean tools (5S, Kanban,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years as a Process Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer/Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Advanced English proficiency (mandatory).
• Experience interpreting technical drawings, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, customer specifications, build instructions and documentation.
• Experience creating PFMEAs and Control Plans.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and process capability.
• Experience with FMEA.
• Knowledge of time studies, motion studies, and line balancing.
• Lean manufacturing: 5S, Continuous Flow, SMED, Poka-Yoke, Kanban.
• Experience leading quality, cycle time reduction, waste elimination, productivity, and cost reduction initiatives.
• MS Excel proficiency; basic CAD knowledge; ability to read technical drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct time and motion studies and support line balancing.
• Monitor KPIs and generate process performance reports.
• Create and maintain process flows, work instructions, SOPs, and docs.
• Participate in cost reduction and productivity projects.
• Support new product introductions and process validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute continuous improvement plans within assigned production areas.


• Support manufacturing teams in problem-solving activities and the definition of repair and corrective action methods.


• Design and optimize process flows to ensure efficient movement of raw materials, subassemblies, and finished products while maximizing plant space utilization.


• Establish and improve manufacturing processes that optimize labor efficiency, material utilization, productivity, and product quality.


• Define and implement tooling, fixtures, templates, poka-yoke devices, equipment, and other manufacturing solutions to ensure process robustness and consistency.


• Lead process improvement initiatives focused on quality, cycle time reduction, productivity, waste elimination, and operational excellence.


• Coordinate and support the development, review, and maintenance of PFMEAs and Control Plans to ensure product quality and process reliability.


• Collaborate closely with Quality, Operations, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.


• Conduct time and motion studies and support line balancing initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency.


• Monitor process performance through KPIs, statistical analysis, and graphical reporting tools.


• Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including process flows, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and technical process documentation.


• Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Continuous Flow, SMED, Kanban, and Poka-Yoke.


• Participate in cost reduction, productivity improvement, and quality enhancement projects.


• Support new product introductions and process validation activities.


• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.


• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or Industrial Engineer within a manufacturing environment.


• Advanced English proficiency (mandatory).

• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
