Formación

  • 5+ años de experiencia como Ingeniero de Herramientas con experiencia práctica.
  • Bilingüe en español e inglés con excelentes habilidades de comunicación.

Overview

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for coordination of maintenance and repair of high-volume injection mold tooling
  • Coordinate and document the internal and external activities of the mold improvement plan
  • Work and communicate with the business unit Tooling Engineers and Planners to define and complete the tasks to have molds repaired
  • Control the logistics to send molds out to repair and bring them back on time
  • Work with Planners, Process and Quality Engineers to re-qualify molds after major mold repairs
  • Responsible for adhering external and internal molds to the corporate mold maintenance procedure
  • Work with internal and external molders to maintain mold preventive maintenance records
  • Identify, justify, and implement cost reduction projects to reduce the cost of maintaining and repairing injection molds
  • Coordinate the inventory and purchase of injection mold spare parts
  • Collaborate with Tooling Engineers, Process Engineers, and Quality Engineers to improve the performance and consistency of injection molds and molded components
  • Develop the mold capacity analysis for all the El Lago molding operation tools
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in achieving results in areas of responsibility described above
  • Bilingual – Spanish and English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 5+ years as Tooling Engineer with hands-on experience involving specification, procurement, qualification, maintenance and repair of molds for injection molded components
  • Excellent theoretical and applied knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts
  • Ability to perform investment justifications
  • Working knowledge of plastic processing, statistical process control and process capability
  • Travel up to 30% of work schedule
  • Well organized, enthusiastic, high energy, strong work ethic
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and obtain results working with others
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working in a mold making company as a mold maker or mold designer
  • Proficient in the use of CAD (SolidWorks) and mold flow analysis
  • Experience in procuring tooling in the Far East.
