HARMAN is seeking an experienced ABAP analyst to analyze, develop, and support SAP ABAP operations for Digital Supply Chain. The role collaborates with internal analysts, architects and contractors on ABAP enhancements and project work.

Responsibilities include designing, testing, debugging ABAP programs, reporting, WebDynPro, and managing documentation while ensuring adherence to Harman ABAP standards. Strong English and problem-solving skills are required.

Formación

• Minimum 5-6 years of deep experience in ABAP development.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computers/IT.
• Minimum 3 years converting functional specs to technical specs.

About the Role

The ABAP analyst will analyze, develop, and support the ABAP operations of SAP for the Digital Supply Chain. This role will also act as a subject matter and peer review expert on projects or programs that require changes or enhancements related to SAP ABAP. This will involve constant collaboration with the internal supply chain analyst, architects and a set of service providers/contractors engaged on projects, service requests, and incidents that require ABAP intervention.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, program and transfer business requirements in SAP ABAP.
• Troubleshoot application and technical issues, define and document technical requirements, drive process improvement solutions and implement ABAP programming solutions.
• Provide daily support to business users, maintain working knowledge of business processes and systems, and support integration with trading partners.
• Design, develop, test and deliver technical objects of ABAP Reporting, Webdynpro, Dialogue programming, Forms, etc.
• Write technical design documents, design and develop solutions, and perform testing.
• Troubleshoot functional issues and provide support for issue resolution.
• Peer review SCM developments.
• Provide end‑to‑end support of ABAP.
• Perform or coordinate functionality tests of new and updated applications and systems to verify desired results.
• Evaluate results and coordinate or make modifications to improve system performance.
• Create test plans as required.
• Participate in application updates and upgrade projects.
• Follow established methodologies during system development and ensure systems adhere to Harman ABAP standards and procedures established by the Digital department.
• Develop and maintain all system‑related documentation as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-6 years of deep experience in ABAP development, including forms, interfaces, conversions, reports.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computers, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience converting functional specifications to technical specifications, coding, unit testing and documentation of custom development.
• Required skills: SAP ABAP Reporting, Dialogue programming, LSMW, BDC, BAPI, Data Dictionary, Smart Forms, SAP Scripts, RFCs, Object‑Oriented ABAP, Infoset for Queries, Webdynpro, etc.
• English proficiency at 90% or higher; advanced reading and writing allowing fluid presentations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and work on multiple projects.
• Demonstrated experience optimizing existing code for better performance.
• Demonstrated experience managing customer‑facing strategic projects as well as application development projects.
• Bonus: SAP ABAP/programming module certification; S/4 HANA ABAP certification and Fiori apps knowledge are a plus.
• ABAP development experience on SAP ECC across functions such as MM, SRM (WM), PP, Ariba, SD, FICO is a plus.
• Basic functional knowledge of SAP ME, EDI, Ariba is nice to have.
• Ariba cloud implementation experience.
• BI and analytics experience.
• Project management related certifications (PMO, Agile, Scrum).
• Confluence or Jira knowledge.
• Formal problem‑solving training or certifications.

Eligibility

• Willing to work in an office, manufacturing facility in Ciudad Juarez or Queretaro, Mexico if required.
• Willing to work remotely and travel to the main offices in Mexico when required.
• Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
