Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking an embedded software engineer in Querétaro to design, implement, and verify software for automotive ECUs. You will apply ASPICE across the full Software Development Life Cycle and work with cross-functional teams on cutting-edge automotive projects.

The role requires 3+ years of C/C++ embedded experience, AUTOSAR knowledge, and strong English communication. You will join a global engineering team delivering high-impact solutions for leading clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required in Mechatronics or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of embedded software experience using C/C++.
• Experience with AUTOSAR BSW and configuration tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of automotive networks CAN/LIN/Ethernet and Unified Diagnostics Services is beneficial.
• Experience with IBM Rational DOORS for requirements management and ASPICE.
• Experience with Git or similar version control tools.
• Advanced English communication and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Estimate, define, and implement embedded software solutions for automotive ECUs.
• Apply ASPICE processes throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (Requirements Analysis, Architecture/Design, Implementation, Testing).
• Collaborate with Capgemini teams on top client projects in automotive engineering.
• Provide progress updates and quality metrics in English.

Your Role

You will participate with a Top Client in the Automotive Industry estimating, defining, and implementing embedded software solutions for automotive Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and component projects, applying the ASPICE process throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (Requirements Analysis, Architecture/Design, Implementation, and Testing).

Your Profile

• Bachelor Degree in Mechatronics or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development using C or C++.
• Working experience with one of the following: Graphic rendering, OpenGL, GPU rendering
• Experience with AUTOSAR basic software (BSW) and application layer development and AUTOSAR configuration tools (e.g., EB Tresos, Vector DaVinci) is a plus.
• Experience with automotive network interfaces (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and Unified Diagnostics Services
• Experience with IBM Rational Doors for requirements management and ASPICE.
• Experience with GIT or similar version control tools.
• Advanced English communication and reporting skills.
