A leading company in the electronics industry seeks an electronic technician to perform testing and repair of equipment. The ideal candidate should possess strong electrical and mechanical skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively. A Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering and two years of relevant experience is preferred.

Formación

• 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Knowledge of PLC Programming.
• Maintenance of electronic equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze test results on defective units and compare with specifications.
• Replace defective wiring and components.
• Perform verification testing on PC boards and assemblies.

Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or related field

Descripción del empleo

The candidate must possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), Electrical and Mechanical aptitude, basic skills on soldering and assembling of electro/mechanical devices, proficient in the use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes and other electronic test equipment, ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly prints, schematics and parts lists and be comfortable with minor mechanical rework. Must have the ability and desire to be cross trained in all products

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze test results on defective units to determine the cause of failure, compares results with specifications and record test data.
• Replace defective wiring and components (if cost effective), or records defects on tag attached to unit and return unit for repair.
• Review and recommend Test Procedure changes.
• Recommends corrective action to drawings, procedures, etc.
• Perform verification testing on PC boards and various assemblies.
• Must be able to work on live (electrically powered) equipment.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or related field preferable.

EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years’ experience in a similar position.

BACKGROUND:

• Interpretation of electronic plans
• Knowledge of PLC Programming
