Job summary

Bosch México in Celaya, Guanajuato, seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to manage supplier claims, ensure material flow, and lead 8D problem solving with suppliers.

You will coordinate failure analyses, support electronics components knowledge, assist audits, SAP setup and preventive quality planning for externals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent is required.
• +3 years of experience in manufacturing roles (supplier quality preferred).
• English advanced; willingness to travel to suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier claim processes and containment actions to ensure certified parts availability.
• Ensure continuous flow of non-defective components to the production line.
• Lead 8D problem solving with suppliers.
• Coordinate Failure Analysis activities.
• Knowledge of electronic components (PCB, capacitors, resistors, IC).
• Support customer quality groups on 8D-related tec h nical issues.
• Follow up defect cost recovery and concessions management.
• Ensure compliance across internal and external audits.
• SAP setup of components including quality info records and inspection plans.
• Ensure preventive quality planning for externally sourced parts (EZRS) and initial sample release before SOP.
• Follow up with top worst suppliers (low performance).
• Support department targets, and goals for BPS, CIP, 5S and ESD.

Job Description

• Supplier claim process management, including timely organization of containment actions to ensure availability of certified parts.
• Assure the continue flow on non defect components to the production line.
• Assure Problem solving process for suppliers according to the 8D process.
• Coordinate Failure Analysis activities.
• Knowledge of Electronic components as Printed Boards, Capacitors, Resistors, IC.
• Support to customer quality groups, regarding 8D´s related to Electronic components claims (technical support).
• Follow-up of the defect cost recovery process and concessions management.
• Support with the compliance on all Audits Internal and Externals.
• SAP set up of Components (Quality Set-Up, Q-Info Record and Inspection plan).
• Ensures Preventive Quality Planning and Assurance for externally sourced parts (EZRS) including release of initial samples prior to SOP.
• Follow-up to Top worst suppliers (low performance).
• Ensure the department Target Achievement.
• Support the Goals for BPS, CIP, 5's and ESD.

Qualifications

• +3 years of experience on similar positions in manufacturing industry
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
• English language: Advanced
• Problem solving (desirable)
• Automotive Industry experience (desirable)
• Production processes experience (desirable)
• MS Office proficient
• SAP is desired
