• 2 years of related professional experience required.
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering is essential.

Electrification Project Engineer

This position reports to

Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will support engineering activities under the supervision of a senior engineer in all types of project sizes and complexities. You will complete tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements for our regional engineering center. The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid. This role is contributing to the Process Automation Business Unit in Merida, Yucatan. You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Design of electrical control systems for hoisting applications
2. Selection of control equipment according to the hoisting industry requirements
3. Technical clarification with sub-suppliers and end-customers
4. Assistance in preparing the technical part of quotations
5. Commissioning on customer site, and factory acceptance tests
6. Contributing creative ideas to develop solutions that keep pace with technology and market trends
7. Producing technical documentation in accordance with ABB’s and end-customers’ requirements

Qualifications for the role

• 2 years of related professional experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge of electrical control systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• E3 or EPLAN knowledge would be an asset, along with experience in the Hoisting and technical knowledge such as ETAP, DigSILENT, or EasyPower
• Fluent English level
• Flexibility to travel abroad on business trips
