**JOB SUMMARY:**

Responsible for executing robust electrical routed system harness designs, complex component placement, vehicle level planning, design, validation, manufacturing, and field support of worldwide off-road electrical systems to support design implementation into production. The primary focus will be on Polaris Off-Road vehicles, with involvement in other Polaris products as needed.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:**

  1. Collaborate closely with electrical design architects and systems engineers to understand and execute the physical strategy for vehicle electrical systems within CAD.
  2. Own and direct activities related to the electrical system in CAD, including component placement, harness routing, and interface development with other systems.
  3. Participate in collaborative design reviews to ensure comprehensive input from all relevant groups.
  4. Assist in designing brackets, features, interfaces, and mechanical components for optimal component placement and harness routing.
  5. Manage all bolted joints and mechanical attributes related to the electrical system.
  6. Ensure timely design releases and manage release activities, prioritizing tasks effectively amidst competing priorities.
  7. Develop and manage electrical system variant strategies supporting different feature levels and vehicle platforms.
  8. Engage with manufacturing teams to ensure electrical system manufacturability.
  9. Support validation and field teams to resolve issues and work towards solutions.
  10. Coordinate with project teams to manage timelines and Bill-Of-Materials for vehicle electrical systems.
  11. Collaborate with electrical suppliers to develop new designs, processes, and support Design-For-Manufacturing activities.
  12. Assist in developing and implementing electrical design requirements management.
  13. Provide mechanical design support for electrical component development.
  14. Create and maintain design specifications.
  15. Perform miscellaneous electrical design tasks as required.

**SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:**

  • B.S. or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual roles preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of related design experience.
  • Experience in new product design and development.
  • Proficiency with MCAD; experience with ECAD, Creo, and Mentor Capital Harness preferred.
  • Basic electrical fundamentals knowledge.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience with cable routing and flexible components preferred.
  • Attention to detail, managing complex projects.
  • Hands-on approach to product development.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot.
  • Decisiveness and initiative.
  • Ability to work with domestic and international partners.
  • Delegation skills for supporting team members.

**WORKING CONDITIONS:**

  • Up to 20% travel for vehicle builds and supplier interactions (US and international).
  • Fast-paced office and lab environment.
  • Location: Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico.
