Formación

Job Description

Development of Electrical Control Systems for Machinery specialized in Automation of harness assembly processes. The position requires a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who can manage priorities and resources to cover new assigned launches, ensuring equipment and tooling are delivered meeting Aptiv and OEM specific requirements for wiring processes.

SME with proven technical knowledge in Electrical Controls Engineering, PLC/SCADA, Automation, and Vision Systems for automated wiring processes. Responsible for developing new and specialized automated processes to optimize productivity, quality, and cost.

Responsible for implementing new technology in wiring processes to position Aptiv as a market leader.

This position requires an engineer capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. The SME will also serve as the authority on Electrical Controls System and traceability development, ensuring compliance and excellence.

Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering areas such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or similar.
  • Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Proface, Siemens)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a controls engineer
  • High-level programming experience with SCADA and structured languages; desired experience in structured programming languages
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • English language skills: spoken and written at an intermediate to high level
  • Knowledge of safety standards
  • Experience following procedures and protocols

  • Manage CAPEX budgets for product programs

  • Ensure equipment and tools delivered meet customer and Aptiv requirements
  • Develop and maintain a supplier network that meets company standards
  • Control project costs and adhere to budgets
  • Implement cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide necessary documentation for equipment, including handoff procedures
  • Deliver machinery and tools training and recommendations to support plant self-sufficiency
  • Support flawless product launches with technical expertise
