Kiewit Mexico is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team in Querétaro. You will perform conceptual, basic and detailed design, review electrical specs, and develop MV/LV systems with supervision.

The role requires strong knowledge of industry standards (NOM-001-SEDE-2012, ANSI, IEEE), proficiency in ETAP, Sizer, Dialux and related tools, and at least eight years of experience on large power projects. Fluency in English is required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 8+ years experience on multidisciplinary projects preferred.
• Mid to advanced English level required: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Responsabilidades

• Experience in conceptual design, basic and detailed engineering using industry standards.
• Review electrical specifications and data sheets for equipment (UPS, DC chargers, MCCs, switchgears, generators, transformers).
• Develop MV one lines, MV schematics and three lines without supervision.
• Coordinate design efforts and conduct bid evaluations for equipment and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Experience in conceptual design, basic and detailed engineering. Utilizes industry standards (e.g., NOM-001-SEDE-2012, NFPA 780, CFE, EEE.) to complete assignments that are large and/or complex. Advises others on proper application of industry standards
• Be able to review electrical specifications and data sheets for electrical equipment such as: UPS, DC chargers, LV/MV MCCs and switchgears, emergency generators, transformers. Develops MV one lines, MV schematics and three lines without supervision
• Understand and propose power distribution arrangement and coordinates with designers, drafters for producing electrical design drawings, Review quotations, purchasing various electrical equipment, prepare bid tab evaluations. Manage electrical equipment vendor packages: Switchgears, H-houses, transformers etc
• Formulate technical specifications and prepare interface points with construction partners. Schedule, review, and coordinate design efforts with other project personnel, performing bid evaluations of equipment and construction proposals and developing recommendations for contract award
• Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to design the conceptual of large power projects
• Work on electrical engineering calculations, specifications and designs, including layout, schematic diagrams, one line diagrams, cabling system, routing, etc
• Be able to perform electrical systems analysis SKM, ETAP, CDEGS, Dialux or Visual.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering - More than 8 years experience performing in multidisciplinary projects.
• Mid to advanced English level required: Good reading, writing, listening and speaking (fluent conversation) knowledge
• Knowledge and application of current version of the NOM-001-SEDE-2012. Familiar with all applicable standards (ANSI, IEEE, IEC, UL, NEC, CFE, etc)
• Able to review voltage drop calculations and grounding calculations - electrical installations
• specifications, design criteria and scope of work
• Able to manage electrical equipment vendor packages: Switchgears, H-houses, transformers etc
• Able to review motor control center, switchgears, lighting and transformers calculations
• Able to formulate and review technical specifications and datasheets for LV MCC, LV SWGR, MV MCC, MV SWGR, UPS, VFD, etc.
• Must have knowledge of ETAP, Sizer, Dialux, Visual Lightnings. Able to develop and review electrical installations specifications, design criteria and scope of work
