SSOE Group in Mexico is seeking an electrical designer to support large-scale industrial facility projects. You will develop electrical design documents in Revit, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and help produce deliverables on schedule.

The role emphasizes quality, attention to detail, and learning. The team operates in a hybrid model, collaborating with colleagues in Mexico, the US, and India, with opportunities for career growth and access to advanced design technology.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electromechanical/Energy engineering or related field.
  • 3–6 years of relevant electrical design experience for large-scale industrial facilities.
  • Experience with low- and medium-voltage systems.
  • Prior Revit experience.
  • Ability to work on in-country projects; bilingual not required.

Responsabilidades

  • Analyze markups, sketches, notes, and other project information to develop and revise electrical design documents in Revit.
  • Applies design fundamentals to complete electrical systems or subsystems.
  • Performs routine design assignments with increasing responsibility under supervision.
  • Supports preparation of electrical design deliverables (floor plans, layouts, one-lines, details, schedules).
  • Coordinates assigned work with electrical, architectural, mechanical, structural disciplines to resolve conflicts.
  • Maintains project files and supports documentation, coordination, and QA activities.

Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

  • Analyze s markups, sketches, notes, and other project information to develop and revise electrical design documents in Revit, under the direction of higher-level designers and engineers.
  • Applies design fundamentals to complete electrical systems or subsystems .
  • Performs a variety of routine design assignments, with increasing responsibility, under the direction of Senior Designers or Senior Engineers , with work effort frequently checked during progress and reviewed upon completion.
  • Supports the preparation of electrical design deliverables, which may include floor plans, device layouts, pathway plans, one-line diagrams, details, schedules, and installation documentation.
  • Works from both own designs and designs of others; compiles data and performs routine design computations to support engineering and project requirements.
  • Coordinates assigned work with electrical, architectural, mechanical, structural, and other project disciplines to help identify and resolve design conflicts.
  • Incorporates review comments, redlines, and revisions accurately and promptly.
  • Reviews work for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project standards before submitting it for review.
  • Maintains working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and standards and studies non-routine code issues with guidance from senior team memberss
  • Assists with identifying and solving design problems but is expected to seek assistance from more experienced designers and engineers when needed.
  • Maintains organized project files and supports documentation, coordination, and quality-control activities throughout the design process.
  • Participates in project coordination meetings, design reviews, and internal training opportunities as assigned.
Qualifications
What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor´s degree in E lectrical E ngineering, E lectromechanical E ngineering, energy engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Three to six (3–6) years of relevant experience in electrical design, low‑voltage systems design, drafting, BIM modeling, or a related technical discipline.
  • Prior experience as an e lectrical designer focused on large-scale industrial facilities.
  • Experience with l ow - and m edium - voltage systems (facilities).
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and quality, initiative, proactive problem‑solving, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively with others, take responsibility for assigned work, and demonstrate accountability and reliability.
  • Prior Revit experience.
  • This person will be assigned to in-country projects. Candidates are not required to be bilingual .
