Job summary

Selinc, based in Mexico, seeks a design engineer to create detailed electrical designs and CAD drawings for protection and automation projects. You will support estimates, collaborate with project leads, and maintain expertise in SEL practices.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, 3+ years of high voltage design experience, and proficiency in AUTOCAD or MicroStation. Travel may be required, and mentoring drafters is part of the job.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience for each academic year.
• 3+ years of high voltage electrical design experience, including protective relay controls systems.
• Ability to learn product concepts and details.
• Capable of working with moderate supervision and owning responsibilities.
• Competent CAD drafting using AUTOCAD or MicroStation.
• Understanding installation requirements for protective relays of different types.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed physical and electrical designs and support estimates under supervision.
• Prepare CAD drawings and project documentation.
• Provide design engineering support to project leads.
• Complete assigned work and deliver on time and within budgets with quality.
• Develop expertise in SEL and industry design practices.
• Mentor drafters with technical tasks.
• Understand and apply SEL principles and World Class Manufacturing.
