LIXIL Water Technology Americas is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. Formación

  • 4+ years of professional EHS experience, preferably in a metal-mechanical, construction, chemical, or ceramic environment.

Responsibilities

LIXIL is seeking a dedicated and analytical Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive EHS programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment. The ideal candidate will proactively identify hazards, manage environmental compliance, lead incident investigations, and cultivate a strong culture of safety throughout the organization.

  • Act as the first responder to medical emergencies, security breaches, fire alarms, or other workplace incidents.
  • Investigate accidents, thefts, property damage, and safety violations; compile detailed incident reports and collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary.
  • De-escalate conflicts or hostile situations professionally and safely.
  • Monitor physical security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and access control systems, to detect and deter unauthorized access or suspicious activities.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the facility and grounds to identify potential security vulnerabilities or safety hazards.
  • Manage visitor management protocols, ensuring all guests, contractors, and vendors are properly vetted and badged.
  • Ensure the facility complies with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards).
  • Conduct routine safety audits, fire drills, and risk assessments; document findings and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop, maintain, and update the company’s Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and security manuals.
  • Design and deliver safety and security training programs for employees (e.g., active shooter drills, evacuation procedures, first aid basics).
  • Promote a culture of safety by communicating updates, safety tips, and protocol changes to staff on a regular basis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree Environmental Science, Industrial or Chemical, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of professional EHS experience, preferably in a Metal-mechanical industry, construction, chemical, Ceramic environment.
Licenses & Certifications
  • DC5 Certified
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
  • Ergonomics knowledge
  • Security Knowledge
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and regulatory texts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively train staff and write technical reports.
  • Proficiency in EHS management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
