Job summary

Emerson is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer in Mexico’s Baja California region to support and maintain safety programs, perform risk assessments, and lead investigations to drive corrective actions. The role demands strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and knowledge of EHS regulations in multiple jurisdictions.

A bilingual proficiency is preferred and a Master’s degree is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a team with a focus on safety regulations.
• Extensive familiarity with EHS compliance standards and successful strategies in different legal jurisdictions.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing and leading EHS programs.

Responsibilities

• Support, implement and maintain workplace safety programs and procedures that support a safe and compliant work environment.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and job safety evaluations to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
• Conduct incident, accident, and near-miss investigations and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
