The Safety Coordinator ensures compliance with Parker's
Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system and applicable regulatory requirements through the coordination of assigned resources, development, implementation, and monitoring of necessary safety controls and procedures within the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing improvement projects to enhance employee health and safety conditions and minimize environmental impacts.
- Coordinating internal and external audits of the EHS management system.
- Developing and implementing Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Ergonomic Assessments for all activities, machinery, and equipment.
- Ensuring the implementation of EHS procedures to maintain employee safety through timely risk assessments and risk mitigation.
- Managing EHS certifications, including ISO 14000 compliance.
- Providing ongoing safety education and training to all employees in alignment with company policies.
- Leading High Performance Teams (HPT) to identify risks through regular inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Overseeing the Near Miss program to ensure timely resolution of reported hazards; conducting accident investigations and administering first aid when necessary.
- Ensuring proper disposal of hazardous, special, and recyclable waste according to regulations.
- Maintaining compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
- Upholding the 5S + Safety methodology and Quality Management System procedures in the workplace.
- Fulfilling the defined roles, responsibilities, and authorities within the Quality Management System.
- Education: Engineering degree (Chemical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, industrial, or related field)
- Experience:3years in automotive industry, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) roles.
- Proven track record in implementing and managing EHS programs and safety protocols.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, job safety analyses (JSA), and ergonomic evaluations.
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14000).
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate internal and external safety audits.
- Experience leading safety training sessions and promoting a culture of safety among employees.
- Strong skills in accident investigation, incident reporting, and near-miss analysis.
- Knowledge of waste management and hazardous materials handling in compliance with legal requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
