Flex is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager in Guadalajara, to lead EH&S programs across offices and manufacturing sites as the SpinCo spin-off progresses. You will supervise teams, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while driving safety initiatives in a complex industrial environment.

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
• Fluent English.
• Experience in similar position or related experience.
• Experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to proactively develop and drive initiatives.
• Ability to communicate and demonstrate technical expertise with internal and external customers.
• Experience in metal mechanics industry.
• Desirable experience in machinery safety.

Responsabilidades

• Manage, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of EH&S programs in offices, manufacturing sites, and plants with control of costs, methods, and personnel.
• Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.
• Conduct meetings involving environmental safety, training, and awareness programs.
• Oversee maintenance of buildings, furniture and fixtures in compliance with regulations.
• Provide direction to employees per policies and management guidance and assist to meet schedules or resolve problems.
• Establish and recommend changes to policies affecting subordinate units.
• Interact with supervisors, customers and peers.
• Present technical information on projects and schedules.
• Manage budget and schedule for moderately complex EH&S activities including contract labor and materials.
• Train staff on policy and procedure changes.
• Implement HR strategies to recruit and retain qualified workforce.

Job Summary

Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.

Reporting to the EH&S Manager, Environmental Health & Safety Manager role involves in charge of providing immediate supervision to a group of employees for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of Environmental Health & Safety programs in offices and manufacturing sites to ensure that the required company and government standards and regulations are met.

What a typical day looks like:

• Manage, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs in offices, manufacturing sites, and plants with control results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
• Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.
• Conduct meetings involving environmental safety, training, and awareness programs.
• Oversee proper maintenance of buildings, furniture and fixtures in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
• Provide direction to employees according to established policies and management guidance and act as advisor to unit, or sub-units and get involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems.
• Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organization(s).
• Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers and/or functional peer group managers.
• Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
• Manage budget and schedule for moderately complex EH&S activities, including costs of contract labor, equipment, and materials.
• Train staff on any changes to policy and procedures.
• Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
