Carrier is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Generalist for its Santa María offices in Mexico. You will promote a strong safety culture, ensure regulatory and corporate compliance, and drive health, safety, sustainability, and wellness initiatives to create a safe, productive work environment.

Formación

  • 1+ years as EHS responsible for a site, office, or facility.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency/fire brigade operations.
  • Basic knowledge of NOMs for workplace safety, health and environment in offices.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication, training, and employee engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilidades

  • Implementing Environmental, Health & Safety management system procedures aligned with site operations.
  • Conducting audits of fire protection systems and supporting inspections and audits required by regulatory authorities.
  • Serving as the coordinator for the site Safety Committee and Health & Safety Commission.
  • Delivering EHS training and awareness programs for employees across the organization.
  • Driving closure and effectiveness of corrective actions and countermeasures related to safety and environmental incidents.
  • Strengthening the environmental culture and promoting Carrier’s Lead with Safety philosophy.
  • Leading the implementation of Environmental, Health & Safety programs for the Santa María offices through communication campaigns, employee engagement activities, wellness initiatives, sustainability efforts, and visible leadership.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and corporate EHS requirements, including emergency response teams, evacuation drills, civil protection programs, and environmental regulations.
  • Promoting active employee participation in hazard identification, preventive observations, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Developing EHS communication materials, awareness campaigns, and branding initiatives.
  • Participating in workplace risk assessments, including ergonomic evaluations of office and common areas.

About The Role

We are seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Generalist to lead and support Environmental, Health & Safety programs for our Santa María offices. In this role, you will play a critical part in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate requirements, and driving employee engagement through health, safety, sustainability, and wellness initiatives. You will help create a safe, compliant, and productive work environment while supporting Carrier’s commitment to leading with safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implementing Environmental, Health & Safety management system procedures aligned with site operations.

Requirements

As a Minimum You Must Have
  • 1+ years of experience serving as the EHS responsible person for a site, office, or manufacturing facility.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency/fire brigade operations.
  • Basic knowledge of Mexican regulatory standards (NOMs) related to workplace safety, health, and environmental compliance in office operations.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication, training, and employee engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Although Not Necessary, It Would Be Nice If You Have
  • Experience using Canva for communications, awareness campaigns, and visual content creation.
  • English language skills.
  • Experience supporting sustainability, wellness, or employee engagement programs.
