A leading healthcare provider seeks a Medical Assistant to perform clinical and administrative duties. Formación

  • 6 months patient care experience preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or EMT program preferred.

Summary

Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of the assigned area or office.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains equipment and supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning/disinfection per protocol, and troubleshooting. Maintains examination areas.
  • Manages in-basket messages and patient phone calls.
  • Rounds with patients to ensure excellent patient experience.
  • Assists with patient assessments and treatments under supervision.
  • Documents patient vital signs, history, medications, allergies, and screenings.
  • Performs diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
  • Activates MyChart accounts and ensures Telehealth connectivity.
  • Performs administrative duties like scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
  • Reviews social determinants and provides education/resources.
  • Monitors patient condition, documents care, and provides discharge instructions.
  • Recognizes and seeks help in emergent situations.
  • Prepares charts for imaging and follows up on issues.

Education and Certification

Required: Medical Assistant program; BLS American Heart E-Card; BLS RQI E-Card; BLS American Heart non-Ecard; BLS Grace; Red Cross BLS Certification.

Additional Information

Requires critical thinking, communication, judgment, ability to work independently, and stress management. No prior experience required; 6 months patient care experience or graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or EMT program preferred.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Includes standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and other physical activities detailed above.

Shift

Primarily office hours; no shift differential.
