In this role, you will develop and implement solutions on the ServiceNow platform, collaborating with various teams to enhance productivity. Formación

  • 2-4+ years of experience in ServiceNow required.
  • Hands-on development experience with ServiceNow preferred.

The Opportunity

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks an enthusiastic ServiceNow Engineer who is a passionate problem solver and delivers solutions to join our ServiceNow Department. You will be part of a team of seven ServiceNow professionals who love what they do. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the broader Hyatt Financial Shared Services, IT teams, and non-IT teams. Your role will be instrumental in continuing to make Hyatt a leading hospitality company. With your ability to research and understand new processes and procedures, along with your strong desire to learn, you will develop, implement, and migrate on a mature ServiceNow instance. You will leverage your deep understanding of ITSM core configurations, JavaScript, and HTML to accurately break down tasks, perform unit testing, and deliver on time and within scope. At Hyatt Hotels, ServiceNow is a major productivity solution and a key part of our mission to take care of people so they can be their best. ServiceNow Engineers serve on a deployment team to architect and deploy solutions within the platform. They provide administrative support, troubleshoot, implement bug fixes, perform root cause analysis, and develop, configure, and integrate solutions to ensure an optimal platform experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Interact with customer team members to capture business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  2. Commit to continuous improvement and learning of development and ServiceNow best practices, tools, and technology.
  3. Support and develop in Hyatt’s custom Financial and Customer Service modules in ServiceNow.
  4. Provide accurate and up-to-date documentation on ITSM processes or custom applications using understandable business language.
  5. Monitor health, usage, and compliance of the ServiceNow platform.
  6. Collaborate with the ServiceNow Architect-IT and ServiceNow Manager to align applications with IT strategy.
  7. Work with Financial Process Owners and leadership on priorities and serve as the main contact for custom applications.
  8. Participate in Hyatt’s Diversity & Inclusion activities and lead initiatives like the Citizen Developer program.

Qualifications

Experience Required:

  • 2-4+ years of experience in ServiceNow.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and certification.
  • Hands-on development experience with ServiceNow.
  • Experience building solutions in non-IT contexts a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL practices.
  • Web development skills: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular or React.
  • Knowledge of web services (SOAP, REST, JSON).
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with other applications or databases.
  • Experience with ServiceNow’s Service Portal and CSM modules.
  • Exposure to Configurable Workspaces and UI Builder.
  • Interest in leveraging new features and technologies.
  • Ability to learn new technologies related to ServiceNow.
  • System analysis, technical writing, critical thinking.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid USA Visa and ability to travel as needed (up to 10%).
  • On-call support outside normal hours during upgrades or incidents.
