Product Design Engineer - Cockpit

Position Description:

The Cockpit Product Design Engineer must have experience in the design and development of cockpit components and will drive the development process. The candidate will be responsible for designing, releasing, and validating cockpit systems and components, leading the process from inception through launch. Knowledge in developing DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans is essential.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent degree (Material Science, Civil Engineering, Aerospace) from an ABET-accredited university
• Open to all experience levels, including recent graduates
• Knowledge of product development for cockpit systems in areas such as:
• Instrument Panel Systems and Components, Console Systems and Components, Door Trim Systems and Components
• Cross Car Beam Structures (Steel welded assemblies and/or cast structures)
• Experience with NX, Team Center, and Stellantis business systems
• Experience in developing DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans
• Self-starter with leadership abilities to guide a cross-functional team
• Hands-on experience with design, release, and manufacturing of cockpit components
• Knowledge of tooling processes including injection molding, blow molding, foaming, and stamping
• Experience with injection molding, blow molding, foaming processes, and stamping
• Proficiency in MS Office
