We are looking for a talented Procurement and Supply Continuity Specialist - Senior to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning at CUMMINS in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua.

Job Summary:

Executes complex buying strategies in accordance with agreed upon material buying plans, specifically focused on improving supplier overall performance and capacity ahead of demand.

Impact You Will Make:

1. Serve as the first point of contact for issues related to supply continuity in the Mechanical systems category for suppliers based in Mexico.
2. Manage escalations raised by any Cummins site when supply continuity issues arise.
3. Lead resolution of supply continuity issues (class 3, 4, and 5), including the development, update, and closure of A3.
4. Manage VPCRs related to changes due to supply continuity issues (e.g., capacity increase projects, tooling upgrades, process changes, sub-suppliers changes).
5. Support Procurement/Sourcing management in activities such as vendor management, industry and market analysis, process analysis, and model building.
6. Lead analysis projects/initiatives, providing coaching to less experienced analysts.
7. Develop effective relationships with vendors and suppliers to favor company business.
8. Manage capacity, delivery, and issue resolution projects.
9. Support engineering releases and other change management processes.

Education & Experience:

• University degree in supply chain management or a related field.
• Intermediate related work experience required.
• Degrees in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or similar fields are preferred.
• Experience in direct material purchases with national and international suppliers.
• Experience handling purchase escalations and capacity analysis across multiple plants globally.
• Proficiency in data analysis, capacity planning, and decision-making based on market trends.
• Experience with Oracle (SAP) purchasing modules, Excel, Power BI.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
• English proficiency at C2 level.
