The Loss Prevention Manager leads the effort to efficiently and effectively provide security services and asset protection within the assigned locations. Responsibilities include theft investigations, workplace violence and incident management, interviews, and physical security of buildings.
- This role is based in León, Guanajuato, and is not remote.
- Work is onsite from Monday to Friday, with on-call duties for emergencies.
- Availability to travel as per business needs is required.
- The Manager reports to the Regional Loss Prevention Manager.
- Work shifts may vary depending on operational requirements.
- Experience in law enforcement engagement, shrink management, and investigations is required.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Drive compliance with all corporate loss prevention standards.
- Participate in a team dedicated to improving loss prevention efforts across the company.
- Conduct interior and exterior audits for various programs, addressing security issues promptly.
- Promote loss prevention practices ethically within the workforce.
- Support the deployment of cost-effective security systems to mitigate risks.
- Use risk assessment processes to identify and address risks.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and industry bodies to support company interests.
- Work with vendors and partners to resolve exposures and reduce risks.
- Represent Amazon’s security department positively through public relations and customer service.
- Apply best practices in supply chain security, investigations, and loss mitigation techniques.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Advanced proficiency in English (B2+ level).
- At least 5 years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environments.
- Experience in executing and strategizing loss prevention activities on physical sites.
- Knowledge of security equipment (intrusion detection, access control, video systems).
- Experience in security services, asset protection, audits, risk management, and inventory control.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel.
- Experience managing security and loss prevention across multiple sites or countries.
- Certifications like CPP, PSP, TAPA are advantageous.
- Experience in interviewing, interrogation, Wicklander and Zulawski certification is a plus.
- Operational management experience in distribution and delivery environments is beneficial but not required.
- Knowledge of developing and managing security policies and conducting risk assessments.
- Business-level English proficiency.
