YOUR TASKS

Objective: Steering and executing the development and setup of complex automation solutions, and advising production planning departments on automatic production equipment.

Automation Technology Responsibilities
  1. Define requirements, assess technological, functional, and financial feasibility, and select the best solution collaboratively with internal customers, specialists, and clients.
  2. Perform internal and external services considering economic, qualitative aspects, and deadlines, in coordination with internal customers.
  3. Ensure compliance with international machinery and plant engineering standards (e.g., safety levels, norms, CE, OSHA).
  4. Support specification preparation, calculations, and quotations for production lines and equipment. Participate in design reviews to mitigate mechanical design risks.
  5. Collaborate with equipment suppliers during design and construction. Support supplier selection, assessment, and development.
  6. Manage ordering of components for assembly and test equipment, adhering to procurement regulations and deadlines, and oversee timely delivery.
  7. Implement and ramp-up new and modified production and test equipment. Coordinate approval and improvement processes.
  8. Drive continuous improvement actions related to equipment and technology, introducing new technologies with partners and expert groups.
  9. Advise and support other departments on assembly, testing, and repair issues (TPM).
  10. Provide technical training and transfer knowledge to technicians.
  11. Conduct process characterization and optimization studies to meet customer requirements.
  12. Perform maintenance tasks on production equipment, control units, test, and measuring systems (mechanical and electrical).
  13. Develop and implement control, test, and measurement systems for new and existing equipment, including programming and integration for new product variants.
  14. Supervise suppliers to ensure compliance with Hella electrical/PLC programming standards.
  15. Provide first-level training to maintenance staff on programming.
  16. Design layouts and detailed concepts considering functionality, technical controls, and manufacturing aspects.
  17. Design fixtures, manufacturing, and test equipment using current manufacturing methods, including automation features and changes for optimization or new variants.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering preferred.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Siemens PLC, Mitsubishi robots, TIA Portal (Grafcet), and HMI programming.
  • Electromechanical experience in assembly processes.
  • Experience with start-up of new stations, implementing improvements, sharing best practices, maintaining line availability, and failure analysis.
