We have a great opportunity for a Governance Manager based at our corporate offices in Juarez, Chihuahua.

As a Governance Manager, you will coordinate and ensure compliance with all regulations, with support from teams such as Tax, Legal, Labor, Customs, and Finance. You will generate and deliver regulatory information accurately, comprehensively, reliably, and timely to support effective decision-making. Additionally, you will review, create, and implement strategic compliance policies to address new regulations as required.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Coordinate with internal functional areas to communicate and implement regulatory changes (e.g., laws, decrees, provisions) and lead the Compliance Regulatory Committee.
  2. Establish compliance monitoring tools and follow-up processes to proactively identify and address potential compliance issues and risks.
  3. Work with leadership and stakeholders to conduct risk assessments based on regulations, developing compliance strategies aligned with business and global objectives.
  4. Participate in planning and compliance activities to ensure all mandatory obligations are met.
  5. Develop and monitor strategic plans to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
  6. Ensure the business complies with federal, state, and municipal regulations.
  7. Implement internal controls over mandatory regulations, including new requirements from regulatory pronouncements.
  8. Support new projects in Mexico by identifying strategies to minimize financial impact and ensure compliance with objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Law, International Trade, or related fields.
  2. Authority to manage regulatory matters across all plant and central functions.
  3. Excellent recordkeeping and strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  4. Leadership qualities, proactiveness, and ability to work well in a team.
  5. At least 5 years of experience in tax, customs, finance, or related regulatory roles, preferably in a multinational organization or top-tier firm.
