Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Mexico is seeking an Edge Developer to design, develop, deploy, and support next-generation Edge and IoT solutions that connect industrial devices, sensors, and cloud platforms. You will build reliable applications using Python and cloud-native tech while collaborating with global teams.

The role covers deployment, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and Level 3 production support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field; Masters or Post Graduate degree a plus
• 3-8 years of experience in developing edge applications in Python, C, C++
• Solid understanding of IoT, communication protocols (MQTT, AMPQ, Modbus, OPCUA), and security
• Experience in implementing IoT solutions on AWS, Azure or GCP
• Experience in container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience working with Linux and Bash scripting
• Knowledge and experience in Continuous Integration
• Experience in Agile methodologies, Git source code management, Test-Driven Development and integration testing
• Self-starter. Work independently in a highly dynamic start-up environment.

Responsibilities

• Build Edge and IoT solutions enabling real-time data processing and device-cloud integration
• Develop with Python and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP); deploy and troubleshoot
• Collaborate in Agile teams with architects, cloud engineers, and product teams while expanding Edge/IoT expertise
• Own production readiness, performance optimization, and Level 3 support for critical apps
