This role will report to the MX Controller but will interact heavily with the Corporate and US Financial Controller in supporting the US fleet tracking entity. The Fiscal & Payroll Accountant will help maintain the integrity of the balance sheet and P&L and ensure that accurate information is available when needed. The selected candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and the flexibility to work in a growing company. This position requires the candidate to be a self-starter and to be able to work independently. This position requires to keep updated all fiscal matters of the company properly submitted and reflected in the accounting. Updated in fiscal topics. Auditory skills, IMSS, and State tax knowledge are desirable.
Responsibilities and Duties
Keep updated all the company fiscal obligations.
Process daily and monthly journal entries and accruals.
Prepare or review various account reconciliations.
Help maintain a clean accounting and perform adjustments when needed.
Must understand multi-currency accounting and the fiscal implications. Some liabilities are maintained in USD.
Periodically review statutory vs. US GAAP reconciling differences for appropriateness.
Send payroll information to external accountants for its calculation and review it.
Management of the employee’s savings funds.
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required Skills / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Experience in a multi-currency environment.
3 years public experience, preferably in Big 4.
2 years private experience.
Experience with SAT procedures and other governmental offices.
Strong communication skills both orally and in writing.
Strong organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Seeking a high-energy self-starter, able to work autonomously; identify, suggest and implement areas for improvement.
