Amazon is looking for a customer-obsessed software engineer to join the Amazon Devices Demand Planning team. Our work impacts Amazon’s device business by forecasting demand and managing supply for all Amazon Devices. We are a growing team that continuously improves our delivery of these forecasts to our customers. We are seeking an engineer who is a technical leader, ready for challenges, with an interest in ML and LLMs.

Key job responsibilities

• Define and build features in multiple core services and user applications.
• Collaborate with other engineers on system architecture, code development, reviews, and process improvements.
• Make data-driven decisions by analyzing data and metrics to identify opportunities.
• Leverage Amazon’s AWS infrastructure to build scalable systems and design algorithms for large data sets.
• Design systems to handle large volumes of data to forecast demand and guide decision-making for Amazon Devices.

You are a curious engineer eager to innovate, deliver, and influence. You enjoy delivering high-quality software products and services at scale. You have expertise in solving problems with software systems, AWS tools, and team collaboration to improve continuously.

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non-internship).
• 2+ years of experience in system design or architecture, including patterns, reliability, and scalability.
• Experience programming in at least one software language.
• 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
