Job Purpose

The Marketing Procurement Assistant Manager – Americas will enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing spend within the Ice Cream business globally. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams at global and regional levels, including Marketing, CMI, R&D, and Finance, to streamline procurement processes, focusing on high-impact solutions. As the business transitions to a standalone company, this position aims to reduce complexity and foster collaborative decision-making to support growth and future capabilities.

The successful candidate will negotiate, analyze, and drive innovation, design, and commercialization in the ice cream sector, ensuring timely delivery of equipment across the portfolio. Building stakeholder relationships and aligning sourcing strategies with business objectives are key responsibilities. Regular engagement with leadership will ensure agility and strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with regional and local stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business priorities and managing expectations effectively.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs related to procurement activities and ensure strategies meet financial and operational targets.
  • Portfolio Coordination: Collaborate with BU Leads to align regional execution with global strategy and implement impactful procurement initiatives.
  • Performance Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency, reduce fragmentation, and execute sustainable sourcing strategies.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct research on industry trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing to inform procurement decisions.
  • Accountability for Results: Deliver on KPIs, contributing to business growth and operational targets.
  • Best Practices Sharing: Act as a subject matter expert, sharing insights and best practices across markets.
What You Need to Succeed
  • Proven experience in marketing procurement, including strategy creation, sourcing plans, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to coordinate across functions and markets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in contract negotiation, data-driven decision-making, and change management.
  • Capability to manage complex projects with region-specific solutions aligned with global strategies.
Experiences & Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of procurement experience, with a minimum of 2 years in managerial marketing procurement roles within FMCG.
  • Experience managing complex marketing portfolios across categories.
  • Understanding of supply chain and value chain management, ideally globally.
  • Strong business acumen, balancing strategic and operational needs.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.
