About Our Life Sciences Segment

With a century of experience as a developer, manufacturer, and global supplier of scientific laboratory products, Corning’s Life Sciences segment collaborates with researchers to enhance efficiencies, reduce costs, and accelerate drug discovery. We leverage expertise in materials science, surface science, optics, biochemistry, and biology to provide innovative solutions that boost productivity and enable breakthroughs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) and/or ORM (operations resource management).
  2. Protect Intellectual Property.
  3. Ensure compliance with regional trade regulations.
  4. Handle purchasing administration.
  5. Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  6. Update supplier information and specifications.
  7. Revise requisitions to confirm accurate purchase orders with necessary supports, account numbers, and descriptions.
  8. Administer purchasing information in PeopleSoft (POs, requisitions, invoices).
  9. Collaborate with corporate and plant teams to optimize purchasing processes.
  10. Maintain accurate information across electronic platforms and systems.
Required Experiences and Education
  1. B.S. or equivalent engineering degree or related qualification.
  2. Conversational English proficiency.
  3. Yellow Belt Certification (preferred).
  4. APICS/NAPM certification (preferred).
  5. Experience in a matrix or cross-functional team environment.
  6. Conflict management skills.
  7. Cross-cultural agility.

  9. Knowledge of global business practices.
