Our client is currently seeking an accomplished Chief Operations Officer (COO) to join their Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) company. With aspirations to become the premier services provider in the Americas, our client operates in multiple countries, including Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Canada.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience and achievement in senior leadership roles in the aviation and MRO space for at least 20 years. You will be pivotal in driving the company to a leading position in the MRO service sector through operational excellence, innovation, and team leadership while also having sound knowledge and experience of financial, legal, regulatory, business development, and other aspects essential to growing businesses.

The role is centred in Cancun. The operational ethos is to deliver exceptional service to the airline industry with superb local execution under a global philosophy.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading the operations teams in multiple jurisdictions throughout the Americas
• Supporting all teams within the company including Business Development, M&A, Regulatory, HR, Finance and supporting the CEO in all strategic, growth, revenue and profitability objectives.

Industry Experience:

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of the aviation industry in the Americas
• Showcase experience working with MRO businesses as a client or from within the MRO sector.
• Ideally, have a maintenance background that includes transitioning from an airline to a non-airline MRO, providing a unique perspective on both sides of the business.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation Management, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
• Proven experience in operational excellence within the aviation industry.
• Strong network within the aviation and MRO community.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel internationally as needed.
