Position Summary

The Sales Associate is responsible for generating sales by providing the customer with an exceptional shopping experience. The Sales Associate maximizes sales by delivering efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable service and ensuring the store is neat, clean, and well-presented at all times. The Sales Associate is expected to role model AEO values and AEO Customer First behaviors in all actions and interactions to create a positive Customer First experience.

Position Details

• Position Title: Sales Associate
• Reports To: Store Management Team
• Supervises: N/A

Responsibilities

1. Demonstrate the AEO Customer First selling standards to deliver a positive customer experience and achieve sales goals.
2. Promote brand loyalty by informing customers about AEO loyalty programs.
3. Use company tools and technology to provide product knowledge, enhancing customer engagement and sales.
4. Support fellow employees by sharing knowledge, assisting in tasks, and engaging in customer interactions.
5. Assist customers in outfit suggestions, incorporating current trends and promotions based on their style.
6. Introduce customers to additional brand channels to promote brand awareness and growth.
7. Process register sales transactions accurately following cash control procedures.
8. Restock returned merchandise correctly and manage damaged goods appropriately.
9. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized store environment for safety and presentation.
10. Handle merchandise efficiently from shipment to sales floor, adhering to SOPs.
11. Resolve customer concerns proactively, ensuring customer satisfaction and partnering with store leadership for escalated issues.
12. Follow all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

1. Previous retail experience preferred.
2. Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
3. Ability to work collaboratively and accept feedback.
4. Physical ability to stand, move, and handle products for extended periods.
5. Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
6. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
7. Proficiency with technology.
