Job Description SummaryThe Associate Director, Mexico & Colombia Corporate Affairs is responsible for setting and executing the communications and advocacy strategies for Mexico (70%) & Colombia (30%) in alignment with the WW Commercialization and Markets Communication team and in support of the country business priorities. He/she is a seasoned Corporate Affairs leader, with strong strategic, digital and creative ability to drive integrated product communications initiatives as needed in Mexico and Colombia.
The Associate Director, Mexico & Colombia Corporate Affairs reports to the Senior Director, Intercon Region, and will also work closely with the Associate Director, LATAM as well as the General Managers in Mexico and Colombia. He/She will be a key member of the local leadership teams. This position requires international travel.
Main responsibilities:- Deliver the Corporate Affairs Strategy for BMS Mexico & Colombia
- Works in tight collaboration with Mexico & Colombia GM and Business Units to design and execute robust communication strategies for BMS to support the company's vision of becoming a leading biopharma company that transforms patients 'lives through science.
- Aligns strategy to overall objectives of BMS Mexico and BMS Colombia, in continuous cooperation with different functions, and in alignment with the GMs.
- Proactively drive initiatives that contribute to building a strong reputation for BMS aligned with global and regional objectives.
- Prepares for stakeholder reactions to corporate, brand and regulatory milestones, and deliver appropriate communications strategies to maximize communications opportunities while mitigating risks. Owns the Crisis Playbook and ensure adequate training. Anticipate and handle issues, leading communication efforts to mitigate impact on BMS reputation for Mexico and Colombia.
- Brand communications & reputation management
- Works cross functionally and in collaboration with the Associate Director LATAM to develop and execute communications strategies including media relations, brand & corporate and digital communications for launch and disease awareness campaigns in support of the product portfolio and business objectives for the market.
- Considers appropriate multi-channel approach for all product communication campaigns, leveraging data and analytics to inform and deploy plans on media, social and digital platforms.
- Assists in the development and execution of integrated communications strategy, including the editorial content strategy, public relations, brand messaging to support product visibility and growth across Mexico and Colombia.
- Manages day-to-day interactions with external agencies to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet timelines and align with BMS policies.
- Advocacy engagement
- Drives Advocacy strategy for the market, to execute strategic partnership with Patient Groups according to BMS principles.
- Facilitates the inclusion of the patient and caregiver voice among cross-functional projects (e.g. access, medical affairs, employee engagement).
Education, Qualifications and Skills:- 8+ years of experience in brand, commercial, or corporate communications, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong network of contacts across Mexico & Colombia.
- Proven track record of delivering high impact integrated pharmaceutical product campaigns that demonstrate creativity and impact in support of business objectives.
- Good understanding of the political environment in the region and ability to interpret how the external changes can impact BMS and its reputation.
