Job Description

About This Role: As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - SMA at our biotechnology organization, you will be a key member of our medical affairs team, focusing on Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). You will engage with Key Medical Experts, Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), and academic institutions to articulate the clinical and scientific narrative of our therapies, supporting clinical decision-making. Your role is vital in advancing medical practice in neuroscience and enhancing patient care. You will build strategic, long-term relationships, acting as a collaborative partner to guide our medical strategies and stay at the forefront of innovation.

What You’ll Do:

• Engage with stakeholders as a credible scientific expert to support clinical decisions.
• Provide tailored, unbiased scientific information aligned with customer needs and company strategies.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers and scientific advocates.
• Stay updated on therapy advances, research, and product knowledge.
• Share medical insights to influence medical and clinical strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commercial, ensuring compliance.
• Lead educational initiatives to enhance the company's reputation.
• Leverage multichannel engagement opportunities.
• Contribute to brand planning with knowledge of disease areas and market environment.

Qualifications

Who You Are: A passionate advocate for patient care, scientifically knowledgeable, proactive, relationship-oriented, compliant, strategic, flexible, and customer-focused, with a good understanding of medical business practices.

Required Skills:

• Advanced Scientific or Clinical degree (PharmD or PhD preferred).
• Minimum two years experience as a high-specialty MSL in pharmaceuticals or strong study background in Neuromuscular Diseases.
• Fluent in English.
• Effective communicator of complex medical information.
• Proven ability to build strategic relationships.
• Knowledge of compliance and ethical guidelines.
• Willingness to travel at least 60%, including overnight and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in neuroscience or SMA.
• Skilled in multichannel engagement.
• Strong strategic planning skills.

Additional Information

Location: Mexico City, with travel to Monterrey, Querétaro, Toluca, Morelia, Aguascalientes, and other cities.
