A leading company in scientific instrumentation seeks an experienced service engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing complex analysis tools in a laboratory setting, requiring a university degree and significant technical experience. The position demands travel to customer sites and effective communication skills.

Formación

  • 2-5 years of hands-on technical experience with complex analysis tools.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair ultra-high vacuum and high voltage systems.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, passport, and US VISA.

Responsabilidades

  • Installing, analyzing problems, repairing, and calibrating complex analysis tools.
  • Traveling 70% of the time to customer sites for support.

Job Description

This position is ideal for an experienced service engineer wanting to be involved with a dynamic team and exposed to a variety of customer application areas.

Education

Typically requires a University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in electronic system problems analysis.

Required Experience

  • 2-5 years of hands-on technical experience installing, analyzing problems, repairing, and calibrating complex analysis tools such as SEM, TEM, FIB, or similar systems.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Requires proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
  • Thorough understanding and extensive experience troubleshooting and repairing ultra-high vacuum and high voltage systems.
  • Ability to partner effectively with customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; professional working proficiency in English.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and subsystems down to component level.
  • Literate in MS DOS and Windows software environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Familiarity with UHV phenomena and technology.
  • Ability to obtain a valid passport and travel regionally and internationally as required.
  • Willingness to travel 70% of the time, often on short notice, to customer sites to resolve problems or support other field service personnel.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, passport, and US VISA.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
